Upload Files via Drag and Drop

Instead of using the Upload button to search for files on your computer you can also drag and drop files to upload them into your course Files Manager. Video and audio uploads have a 500MB limit in size when using either uploading method. 

1. While in the Files section of the course, click Upload. 

Some web browsers contain a unique feature that allows the user to add to files by simply dragging and dropping the files from a file window directly into the Canvas file repository. 

1. Click the title of the file you wish to add on your computer's desktop or in your computer's folder system and drag the file to your open browser. 

2. Your file will automatically upload.

3.  Your new file will appear in the File Manager.
